In addition to the two Kristianstad teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Kristianstad HK 2 could be found in Group 7 together with Uppsala HK 2, Trelleborg HBK 2, Åhus Handboll 1, H 65 Höör 2, Huddinge HK Sthlm, Skuru IK Sthlm 3, H 78 Sölvesborg and Karlshamns HF.

Kristianstad HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kärra HF Göteborg with 7-12. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm won over Kärra HF Göteborg and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
