In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 2 could be found in Group 6 together with Växjö HF, Alingsås HK 2, Näsby Handboll 2, Uppsala HK 1, Borlänge HK 3, Åhus Handboll 3, Ystads IF HF 2, AIK Handbollsförening and Vinslövs HK.

IK Lågan Hörby 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Växjö HF with 5-6. In the Final, Åhus Handboll 3 won over Åhus Handboll 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
