In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 42 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 1 could be found in Group 1 together with H 78 Sölvesborg, Vinslövs HK 1, Eslövs HF 2, Halmstad Handboll 1, LVHK Lödde 1, Uppsala HK, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IFK Kristianstad 3, GF Kroppskultur Uddevalla and Staffanstorps HK.

IK Lågan Hörby 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 2 with 6-8. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Åhus Handboll 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
