In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 42 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 2 could be found in Group 2 together with Trelleborg HBK 2, Halmstad Handboll 3, Eslövs HF 3, Ronneby HK, Ljunghusens HK 1, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2, Alingsås HK 2, H43 Lund 1, IFK Kristianstad 2 and Ystads IF HF 3.

IK Lågan Hörby 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IF Guif Eskilstuna 1 with 6-7. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Åhus Handboll 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
