In addition to Svedala HK, 69 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Svedala HK could be found in Group 7 together with Skara HK, Norrköpings HK 2, Ystads IF HF 2, Kävlinge HK 2, IFK Bankeryd 1, IFK Kristianstad 3, H43 Lund 5, Staffanstorps HK 2 and Vetlanda HF 1.

Svedala HK continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Raklev G&I, Danmark 2 with 11-14. In the Final, Raklev G&I, Danmark 2 won over Halmstad Handboll 1 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B1.
