Kävlingebeach was one of 324 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.

They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Kävlingebeach could be found in Group 4 together with KFUM Kalmar HK, Upsala IF, Ziggy Pausen, La Bamba, Barbapapporna & jag, Nossebro IF and Näsby Handboll 1. Kävlingebeach continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Motståndarna with 7-13. In the Final, Mormors pojkar won over Lasse spadez and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar. Kävlingebeach comes from Kävlinge which lies approximately 77 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
