In addition to Uffes Brudar, 31 other teams played in Öppen klass Damer. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Uffes Brudar could be found in Group 2 together with Stavstens vänner 1, Team van Stam, H 65 Höör, Hultic BK Åby, As-kalas, Resten and Strömstad HK.

Uffes Brudar made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against IK Lågan Hörby, which they won with 15-9. Thereby Uffes Brudar won the entire A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Damer during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.

Uffes Brudar comes from Lund which lies approximately 75 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Lund does also provide 85 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016 (Among others: Eslövs HF, H43 Lund, IFK Klagshamn, Eslövs IK, GW Landskrona HK, Veberöds HK, Stolta mammor, Lokomotiv Gunnesbo, Kävlinge HK and LVHK Lödde).
