Solstrålarna was one of 324 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They participated with one team in Motionsklass Damer.
In addition to Solstrålarna, 39 other teams played in Motionsklass Damer. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Solstrålarna could be found in Group 1 together with Bortamatchen, Dreamteam, FN-Play for the future and Pantertanter. Solstrålarna continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Ballar av stål with 4-12. In the Final, Bortamatchen won over Eslövslågan and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Motionsklass Damer. Solstrålarna comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 15 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Kristianstad does also provide 95 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016 (Among others: Vinslövs HK, Team Elgocell, H 65 Höör, IK Lågan Hörby, Kristianstad HK, IFK Kristianstad, Tollarps IF, Näsby Handboll, BK ore and DVD DET VET DU). 5 games playedGoals |
