Älta IF Stockholm was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with two teams in Flickor 2003 B1. The team in Flickor 2003 B1 made it to the the Final in B-Slutspeland won it over Åhus Handboll 2 by 9-7.
In addition to this, Älta IF Stockholm have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Älta Stockholm had two teams playing in Flickor 2003 C2. The team in Flickor 2003 C2 made it to the the Semi final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Kristianstad HK 3 by 8-11. Älta Stockholm comes from Älta which lies approximately 440 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
