Skogås HK Sthlm was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 2001 A1 and Flickor 2004 C2 respectively. The team in Pojkar 2001 A1 made it to the the 1/8 Final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Karlskrona Handboll 1 by 12-13.

In addition to this, Skogås HK Sthlm have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Skogås Sthlm had 5 teams playing in Pojkar 2001 B2, Pojkar 2000 A1 and Flickor 2004 C1 respectively. The team in Flickor 2004 C1 made it to the the 1/4 Final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 by 5-9.

Skogås Sthlm comes from Skogås which lies approximately 430 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Skogås does also provide 28 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Among others: Sannadals SK Stockholm, Sorunda IF Sthlm, Älta IF Stockholm, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, IK Bolton Sthlm, Spånga HK Stockholm, Lidingö SK Sthlm, Djurgårdshofs IK, Zliproad CSC/IFK Tumba HK and Vallentuna HK Stockholm).
