Sollentuna HK was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with two teams in Flickor 2003 B1 and Flickor 2001 A1 respectively. The team in Flickor 2003 B1 made it to the the Semi final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Älta IF Stockholm 2 by 7-10.

In addition to this, Sollentuna HK have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Sollentuna had three teams playing in Pojkar 2000 A1, Flickor 2003 C2 and Flickor 2001 B2 respectively. Two teams played until 1/16 Final in A-Slutspel; Flickor 2003 C2 lost against H 65 Höör 1 by 7-14 and Flickor 2001 B2 lost against H43 Lund 2 by 10-11.

Sollentuna comes from Sollentuna which lies approximately 450 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Sollentuna does also provide 31 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Among others: Sannadals SK Stockholm, Älta IF Stockholm, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm, IK Bolton Sthlm, Spånga HK Stockholm, Lidingö SK Sthlm, Djurgårdshofs IK, Zliproad CSC/IFK Tumba HK, Skogås HK Sthlm and Vassunda IF Sthlm).
