In addition to the two Enköpings teams, 58 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Enköpings HF 2 could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Kristianstad 4, Karlskrona Handboll 2, Åhus Handboll 3, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka, IK Sund Helsingborg, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, IK Bolton Sthlm, Lindeskolans IF and H43 Lund 2.

Enköpings HF 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IK Sund Helsingborg with 10-11. In the Final, IK Sund Helsingborg won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1.
