In addition to HK Ankaret Bjärred, 49 other teams played in Flickor 2001 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof HK Ankaret Bjärred could be found in Group 5 together with Borlänge HK 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm IFK Tumba HK Blå, LVHK Lödde, H43 Lund 2, Kärra HF Göteborg 2, IK Baltichov Gbg 2, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm 2, Ronneby HK and IFK Kristianstad 1.

HK Ankaret Bjärred continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kärra HF Göteborg 1 with 13-14. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over Gustavsbergs IF HK and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 A1.

HK Ankaret Bjärred also participated in Flickor 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/16 Final in F01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kärra HF Göteborg with 13-14.
