Solstrålarna was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Motionsklass Damer.
In addition to Solstrålarna, 29 other teams played in Motionsklass Damer. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Solstrålarna could be found in Group 6 together with Åhus vintage, Käsen, Lemon-Lime and IFK Ladies 2. Solstrålarna continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Käring & co. with 1-8. In the Final, Vi var bra förr won over Lasses töser and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Motionsklass Damer. Solstrålarna comes from Kristianstad which lies approximately 15 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
