Mormors pojkar was one of 254 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They participated with one team in Öppen klass Herrar.
In addition to Mormors pojkar, 39 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Mormors pojkar could be found in Group 2 together with Sannadals SK Tjockholmarna, Koko Hallå, Näsby P96, Div2podden, Nederlaget, KSK ULTRAS and B-laget. Mormors pojkar continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against HK Eklöven with 6-7. In the Final, Vinslövs HK won over Böffes JR and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar. Mormors pojkar comes from Fjälkinge which lies approximately 14 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
