In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 26 other teams played in Pojkar 2009. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 1 could be found in Group 6 together with Lödde Vikings HK, Tyresö Handboll, Ystads IF HF 3 and IFK Kristianstad 2.

IK Lågan Hörby 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Tyresö Handboll with 6-7. In the Final, H43 Lund HF 1 won over Ystads IF HF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2009.
