In addition to the two Borlänge teams, 78 other teams played in Flickor 2004. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Lugi HF 2, IK Lågan Hörby 3, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll 3, Lödde Vikings HK 2, Ljunghusens HK 1, Eslövs IK 3, Hammarby IF HF, Kristianstad HK 2 and Tollarps IF 2.

Borlänge HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps HK 2 with 9-16. In the Final, Staffanstorps HK 2 won over Lödde Vikings HK 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2004.

Borlänge HK also participated in Flickor 2004 C2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/8 Final in F04 A-Slutspel, but lost it against IK Sävehof Partille with 9-10.
