Borlänge HK was one of 254 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They participated with 24 teams in 12 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 32 categories. The team in Flickor 2001 made it to the the Final in A-Slutspeland won it over Kärra HF by 12-10.
In addition to this, Borlänge HK have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017, Borlänge had 22 teams playing in 12 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 29 categories. Two teams played until Final in A-Slutspel; Pojkar 2000 A2 won over Lugi HF 2 by 10-4 but Pojkar 2001 A1 lost against Enköpings HF 1 by 8-9. Borlänge comes from Borlänge which lies approximately 510 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Borlänge does also provide two additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018 (Falu HK and Göteborg Beach Handball Club).
