In addition to the 5 Borlänge teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Vassunda IF, Kärra HF 1, Höörs HK H 65 1, IFK Tumba HK 1, Åhus Handboll 1, Sannadals SK 1, Lugi HF 5, Kävlinge HK 2 and Eslövs IK 1.

Borlänge HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Höörs HK H 65 3 with 9-15. In the Final, Vinslövs HK won over H43 Lund HF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Borlänge HK also participated in Flickor 2002 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/4 Final in F02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H 65 Höör 3 with 9-10.
