In addition to Borlänge HK, 24 other teams played in Damer Junior 98-00. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK could be found in Group 1 together with Uppsala HK 3, Bjärnums HK, Lugi HF, IFK Kristianstad 2, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb 1, Kävlinge HK, IFK Tumba HK and Alingsås HK.

Borlänge HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Eslövs IK with 8-10. In the Final, Eslövs IK won over Trelleborg Handbollsklubb 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Damer Junior 98-00.
