In addition to the four Ystads teams, 61 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 4 could be found in Group 1 together with Höörs HK H 65, IFK Kristianstad 2, Raklev G&I Raklev, Eslövs HF 1, Lugi HF 1, Alingsås HK 2, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll Karlskrona Handboll P06 lag 2, Lödde Vikings HK 2 and HK Silwing/Troja.

Ystads IF HF 4 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against H 78 Sölvesborg 2 with 6-7. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja won over Eskilstuna Guif IF 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2006 D2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund 1 with 9-11 and ended up in second place.
