Lugi HF continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against SG Flensburg Handewitt 1 with 6-9. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 1 won over SG Flensburg Handewitt 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Elit Herr. Lugi HF also participated in Elit Herr during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.
