In addition to the two Malmö teams, 73 other teams played in Pojkar 2004. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof HK Malmö 1 could be found in Group 3 together with Uppsala HK 1, Kävlinge HK 1, IK Bolton 3, Önnereds HK, HK Aranäs 1, H43 Lund HF 4, KFUM Kalmar HK, Alingsås HK 1 and Huddinge HK 3.

HK Malmö 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Borlänge HK 1 with 11-15. In the Final, Önnereds HK won over Borlänge HK 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2004.

HK Malmö also participated in Pojkar 2004 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/4 Final in P04 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Alingsås HK 2 with 6-13.
