In addition to the two Tyresö teams, 60 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Tyresö Handboll 1 could be found in Group 1 together with KFUM Lundagård, Borlänge HK 2, Sannadals SK Röd, Kävlinge HK 1, IK Lågan Hörby, Gustavsbergs IF HK, Alingsås HK 2 and Åhus Handboll.

Tyresö Handboll 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Borlänge HK 3 with 5-8. In the Final, Borlänge HK 3 won over Kristianstad HK 3 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Tyresö Handboll also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the final in C-Slutspel, but lost it against IFK Tumba HK 1 with 12-14 and ended up in second place.
