In addition to the two Sund teams, 62 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Sund 2 could be found in Group 2 together with Eslövs HF 5, Lugi HF Sol, VästeråsIrsta HF, Halmstad Handboll 1 Röd, Lödde Vikings HK 1, Hultsfreds HF, Ronneby HK 1 Ronneby and HK Silwing-Troja.

IK Sund 2 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against H43 Lund HF 2, which they won with 10-6. Thereby IK Sund 2 won the entire A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2019.
