Akademikernas comeback was one of 265 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2019. They participated with one team in Motionsklass Herrar.

In addition to Akademikernas comeback, 58 other teams played in Motionsklass Herrar. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Akademikernas comeback could be found in Group 12 together with 222 kursen från Militärhögskolan Karlberg, Köbepågarna Eslöv, IFK Kristianstad Gentlemen 2 and Uti Bögda.

Akademikernas comeback continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Förortsungar...och Tomas with 7-9. In the Final, Bygg & Vent i Syd AB won over Förortsungar...och Tomas and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Motionsklass Herrar.

Akademikernas comeback comes from Lund which lies approximately 72 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Lund does also provide 63 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2019 (Among others: Vakant, Vitlökssås med allting på, Staffanstorps HK, H-town, Köbepågarna, Republik skrik, Gröna Vagnen, IFK T-Bar, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb and Risifrutti).
