Gustavsbergs IF HK was one of 205 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022. They participated with two teams in Flickor 17 år (födda 2005) and Damer Junior 19-20 år (födda 2002-2003) respectively. The team in Flickor 17 år (födda 2005) made it to the the Semi final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Huddinge HK 2 by 7-8.

In addition to this, Gustavsbergs IF HK have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2021, Gustavsbergs had 7 teams playing in Flickor 14 år (födda 2007), Flickor 15 år (födda 2006), Flickor 16 år (födda 2005), Flickor 17 år (födda 2004) and Flickor 18 år (födda 2003) respectively.

Gustavsbergs comes from Värmdö which lies approximately 450 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Värmdö does also provide 20 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022 (Among others: Älta IF, Stockholmspolisens IF HF, Bolton Big Ballers, IK Bolton, Spånga HK, Huddinge HK, EY' BRO, Skuru IK, Haninge HK and Sannadals SK).
