HK Malmö was one of 205 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006) and Herrar Junior 19-20 år (födda 2002-2003) respectively. The team in Herrar Junior 19-20 år (födda 2002-2003) made it to the the 1/4 Final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 by 7-12.
In addition to this, HK Malmö have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2021, Malmö had 5 teams playing in Pojkar 14 år (födda 2007), Pojkar 17 år (födda 2004), Pojkar 18 år (födda 2003) and Flickor 13 år (födda 2008) respectively. Malmö comes from MALMÖ which lies approximately 90 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around MALMÖ does also provide 43 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022 (Among others: POWERHEAT, Veberöds HK, Eddes Hussar, Goal Diggers, HK Micro, HF Limhamn, Eslövs HF, Dalby GIF, Ljunghusens HK and Eslöv).
