In addition to the two IFK Ystad teams, 35 other teams played in Pojkar 12 år (födda 2010). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IFK Ystad HK Röd could be found in Group 3 together with Åhus Handboll 2, IFK Bankeryd Vit, Falköpings AIK HK 2, Vinslövs HK 2, Växjö HF Gul, IFK Malmö HF Gul, Tomelilla IF, IFK Kristianstad Orange and Alingsås HK 2.

IFK Ystad HK Röd made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Staffanstorps HK, which they won with 14-12. Thereby IFK Ystad HK Röd won the entire A-Slutspel in Pojkar 12 år (födda 2010) during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022.
