In addition to Borlänge HK, 39 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Borlänge HK could be found in Group 1 together with IK Lågan Hörby, IFK Kristianstad 2, Åhus Handboll 1, Lödde Vikings HK 2, IFK Malmö HF 1, HF Karlskrona, IFK Tumba HK Blå, Lugi HF Svart and Uppsala HK 1.

Borlänge HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 4 with 5-11. In the Final, Lugi HF Svart won over IFK Kristianstad 4 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006).
