In addition to the three Lugi teams, 37 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Lugi HF Svart could be found in Group 1 together with IK Lågan Hörby, IFK Kristianstad 2, Åhus Handboll 1, Lödde Vikings HK 2, IFK Malmö HF 1, HF Karlskrona, Borlänge HK, IFK Tumba HK Blå and Uppsala HK 1.
Lugi HF Svart made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against IFK Kristianstad 4, which they won with 10-9.
