Smärtsamma gubbar was the only club from Finland that had teams playing during Åhus Beach Fotboll 2016. They participated with one team in Herr Motion.
In addition to Smärtsamma gubbar, 50 other teams played in Herr Motion. They were divided into 11 different groups, whereof Smärtsamma gubbar could be found in Group 6 together with Granvillan Boys , Soggarna FF , Real Janne Golv and FC Glenn Hysén . Smärtsamma gubbar continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Loftahammars IF with 0-1. In the Final, The muppeteers won over Andralaget and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Herr Motion.
