IBK Göteborg was one of 118 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Warbergsspelen 2016. They participated with one team in Flickor 02.

In addition to IBK Göteborg, 18 other teams played in Flickor 02. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IBK Göteborg could be found in Group C together with Sarpsborg IBK, IBK TYGRIKET 99, Warberg IBF and Olofströms IBK.

IBK Göteborg continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group C. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Färjestadens ibk with 0-7. In the Final, Färjestadens ibk won over Onsala IBK 2 and became the winner of Slutspel B in Flickor 02.

IBK Göteborg comes from Göteborg which lies approximately 69 km from Varberg, where Warbergsspelen takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 38 additional clubs participating during Warbergsspelen 2016 (Among others: Onsala IBK, IK Zenith, Floda IBK, Varla IBK, Lindome IBK, Pixbo Wallenstam IBF, Öckerö IBK, IBK Alingsås, Öckerö Innebandy and Frölunda IBK).
