In addition to Algeria, 11 other teams from 11 different countries played in Women. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Algeria could be found in Women Pool D together with USA, China, Canada, Greece and Brazil.
Algeria continued to Playoff A after reaching 4:th place in Women Pool D. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Russia with 1-5. In the Final, Russia won over Turkey and became the winner of Playoff A in Women.
