In addition to the three Aranäs Kungsbacka teams, 67 other teams played in Pojkar 2005 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 could be found in Group 4 together with Bjärnums HK 2, Västerås Irsta HF 2, Tollarps IF 2, Rimbo HK Roslagen, Vinslövs HK 2, IFK Kristianstad 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, H 65 Höör 1 and Halmstad Handboll 3.

HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against LVHK Lödde 1 with 7-11. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over IFK Bankeryd 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2005 D2.
