In addition to the four Ystads teams, 66 other teams played in Pojkar 2005 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 3 could be found in Group 6 together with Halmstad Handboll 1, H43 Lund 3, LVHK Lödde 1, Åhus Handboll 1, Västerås Irsta HF 1, Täby HBK Sthlm 1, IK Sävehof Partille, Kävlinge HK 1 and Ronneby HK 1.

Ystads IF HF 3 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 2 with 7-8. In the Final, Kävlinge HK 1 won over H43 Lund 3 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2005 D2.
