In addition to the two Guif Eskilstuna teams, 42 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IF Guif Eskilstuna 1 could be found in Group 4 together with Åhus Handboll 1, Karlskrona Handboll 2, Tollarps IF, Vinslövs HK 2, IFK Kristianstad 4, Önnereds HK Gbg, LVHK Lödde 3, Ystads IF HF 1, Ljunghusens HK 2 and Halmstad Handboll 2.

IF Guif Eskilstuna 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 2 with 5-9. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Åhus Handboll 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
