In addition to the two Guif Eskilstuna teams, 42 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 could be found in Group 2 together with Trelleborg HBK 2, Halmstad Handboll 3, Eslövs HF 3, Ronneby HK, Ljunghusens HK 1, IK Lågan Hörby 2, Alingsås HK 2, H43 Lund 1, IFK Kristianstad 2 and Ystads IF HF 3.

IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 1 with 5-9. In the Final, Alingsås HK 2 won over LVHK Lödde 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
