In addition to the two Karlskrona teams, 42 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Karlskrona Handboll 2 could be found in Group 4 together with Åhus Handboll 1, Tollarps IF, Vinslövs HK 2, IFK Kristianstad 4, Önnereds HK Gbg, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, LVHK Lödde 3, Ystads IF HF 1, Ljunghusens HK 2 and Halmstad Handboll 2.

Karlskrona Handboll 2 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 11:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against HK Hök Laholm with 1-7. In the Final, Ljunghusens HK 2 won over HK Hök Laholm and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
