In addition to the two H 65 Höör teams, 18 other teams played in Damer Junior 96-98. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof H 65 Höör 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Halmstad Handboll 2, Kristianstad HK 2, Uppsala HK, Näsby Handboll, H43 Lund 1, LVHK Lödde, IFK Tumba Sthlm, Ronneby HK and Dalhems IF Malmö.

H 65 Höör 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against H43 Lund 1, which they won with 8-7. Thereby H 65 Höör 1 won the entire A-Slutspel in Damer Junior 96-98 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
