In addition to the two H43 Lund teams, 18 other teams played in Damer Junior 96-98. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof H43 Lund 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Halmstad Handboll 2, Kristianstad HK 2, Uppsala HK, Näsby Handboll, H 65 Höör 1, LVHK Lödde, IFK Tumba Sthlm, Ronneby HK and Dalhems IF Malmö.

H43 Lund 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against H 65 Höör 1 with 7-8. Thereby H43 Lund 1 finished second in D96-98 A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
