Skånela IF Märsta was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Pojkar 2000 A2.

In addition to Skånela IF Märsta, 49 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A2. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Skånela IF Märsta could be found in Group 2 together with Karlskrona Handboll 2, Eslövs HF 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 3, Alingsås HK 2, Ystads IF HF 2, Enköpings HF 4, Hultsfreds HF, Uppsala HK 1 and H43 Lund 2.

Skånela IF Märsta continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against HK Aranäs Kungsbacka with 8-10. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll 1 won over HK Aranäs Kungsbacka and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A2.

Skånela IF Märsta also participated in Pojkar 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in P00 A-Slutspel, but lost it against LUGI HF 1 with 9-11.

Skånela Märsta comes from Märsta which lies approximately 460 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Märsta does also provide 22 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Among others: IK Bolton Sthlm, Spånga HK Stockholm, Lidingö SK Sthlm, H.L.
