In addition to the two Växjö teams, 58 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Växjö HF 1 could be found in Group 4 together with H43 Lund 5, Hässleholms HF, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2, Uppsala HK 2, Halmstad Handboll 2, IFK Kristianstad 2, Åhus Handboll 1, Redbergslids IK Gbg and HK Eskil Eskilstuna.

Växjö HF 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 with 7-8. In the Final, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 won over Ystads IF HF 3 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1.

Växjö HF also participated in Pojkar 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/16 Final in P01 B-Slutspel, but lost it against IFK Bankeryd 2 with 5-10.
