IFK Karlsborg was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Flickor 2002 B2.

In addition to IFK Karlsborg, 75 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IFK Karlsborg could be found in Group 3 together with AIK Handbollsförening AIK Gul, OV Helsingborg HK, Borlänge HK 6, Uppsala HK 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, IFK Strängnäs, H43 Lund 4 and Staffanstorps HK 1.

IFK Karlsborg continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK 1 with 8-9. In the Final, Lugi HF 1 won over H 65 Höör 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B2.

IFK Karlsborg also participated in Flickor 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in F02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kärra HF Göteborg with 9-13.

IFK Karlsborg comes from karlsborg which lies approximately 290 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around karlsborg does also provide two additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Vadstena HF and HK Guldkroken Hjo).
