In addition to OV Helsingborg HK, 77 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof OV Helsingborg HK could be found in Group 8 together with IFK Kristianstad 2, LVHK Lödde 2, H43 Lund 3, Eslövs HF 1, Vetlanda HF, Alingsås HK 1, Norrköpings HK 1, Tollarps IF and IFK Tumba Sthlm 1.

OV Helsingborg HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IK Lågan Hörby with 9-12. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2.
