In addition to OV Helsingborg HK, 75 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof OV Helsingborg HK could be found in Group 3 together with IFK Karlsborg, AIK Handbollsförening AIK Gul, Borlänge HK 6, Uppsala HK 1, IFK Kristianstad 1, IFK Strängnäs, H43 Lund 4 and Staffanstorps HK 1.

OV Helsingborg HK continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against H 65 Höör 3 with 11-12. In the Final, Kärra HF Göteborg 2 won over Staffanstorps HK 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B2.
