IK Sund Helsingborg was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Pojkar 2001 A1.

In addition to IK Sund Helsingborg, 59 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IK Sund Helsingborg could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Kristianstad 4, Enköpings HF 2, Karlskrona Handboll 2, Åhus Handboll 3, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka, IFK Tumba Sthlm 1, IK Bolton Sthlm, Lindeskolans IF and H43 Lund 2.

IK Sund Helsingborg made it to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 2. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Ystads IF HF 2, which they won with 11-10. Thereby IK Sund Helsingborg won the entire B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.

IK Sund Helsingborg also participated in Pojkar 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in P01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund 2 with 11-12.

Sund Helsingborg comes from Råå which lies approximately 99 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Råå does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (Among others: Lemon-Lime, Kävlinge HK, Abrakadabra, Hakunamatata, GW Landskrona HK, Clip 'n Climb, Piggelinerna, Bortalaget, Eslövs Ballers and Homegirls).
