Grönbete was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with one team in Motionsklass Herrar.
In addition to Grönbete, 59 other teams played in Motionsklass Herrar. They were divided into 12 different groups, whereof Grönbete could be found in Group 1 together with IFK ICE AGE, Vaktmästaren och de andra, HAK and The Gausels. Grönbete continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Gentlemen 2 with 9-10. In the Final, IFK ICE AGE won over Daddy Cool and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Motionsklass Herrar. Grönbete comes from Lund which lies approximately 74 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
