AIK Handbollsförening was one of 254 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They participated with two teams in Flickor 2002. Two teams played until 1/8 Final in C-Slutspel; Flickor 2002 1 lost against Sannadals SK 2 by 9-13 and Flickor 2002 2 lost against IFK Tumba HK 1 by 7-15.

In addition to this, AIK Handbollsförening have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017, AIK had 6 teams playing in Flickor 2003 B1 and Flickor 2002 B2 respectively. The team in Flickor 2003 B1 made it to the the Semi final in B-Slutspel, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 2 by 10-13.

AIK comes from Solna which lies approximately 440 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Solna does also provide 37 additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018 (Among others: Powepuffpinglorna, Huddinge HK, Haninge HK, KSK ULTRAS, Skuru IK, Gustavsbergs IF HK, Gubbängen/Tallen IK, Lidingö SK, Spånga HK and Hammarby IF HF).
