In addition to the two AIK teams, 68 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof AIK Handbollsförening 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Lödde Vikings HK, Åhus Handboll 3, Uppsala HK, Sollentuna HK, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll, Lugi HF 4, Höörs HK H 65 2, Borlänge HK 4 and IK Lågan Hörby 1.

AIK Handbollsförening 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Sannadals SK 2 with 9-13. In the Final, IFK Tumba HK 1 won over Tyresö Handboll and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

AIK Handbollsförening also participated in Flickor 2002 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They reached the 1/16 Final in F02 B-Slutspel, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 1 with 6-10.
